Welcome to Jurify. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Jurify practice management platform and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Jurify provides a cloud-based practice management platform designed for law firms, including but not limited to:

  • Case and matter management
  • Client relationship management
  • Document storage and management
  • Time tracking and billing
  • Calendar and deadline management
  • Team collaboration tools
  • Reporting and analytics

3. Account Registration

To use our Services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up-to-date

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
  • Use the Services to compete with Jurify

5. Data Ownership and Confidentiality

Your Data: You retain all rights to the data you input into the Services ("Your Data"). We do not claim ownership of Your Data.

Confidentiality: We understand that law firms handle sensitive and confidential information. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect Your Data and treat all client information as confidential.

License: You grant us a limited license to use Your Data solely to provide and improve the Services.

6. Fees and Payment

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account
  • You are responsible for all applicable taxes

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Services. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and content (excluding Your Data), are owned by Jurify and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JURIFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to Jurify in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Services will be disabled
  • You may request an export of Your Data within 30 days
  • We will delete Your Data within 90 days of termination
  • No refunds will be provided for unused subscription periods

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Services. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
